The Cooper River Bridge Run is the best organized and the best conducted 10-K race in the world. It includes world- class competition in a unique setting with unparalleled participant satisfaction. Adam will become the first paralyzed man in history to walk the Cooper River Bridge Run.
Adam will be going to various high schools around the state and walking the length of the basketball court (90ft) with the home basketball team. Adam, a former basketball player himself, will be raising awareness about what it means to “Bridge the Gap” between being disabled and able bodied.
For four hours King Street (south of Calhoun Street) is only open to pedestrians as they stroll from storefront to storefront to browse, eat, or drink. Musicians will be playing, and you can usually score a sample or two of food and drinks if you’re lucky. Team Adam will be out selling merchandise to raise money for the ReWalk and educate the community about his efforts for the Cooper River Bridge Run.
