The One-Million Steps: ReEnabled Race Tour.
Fighting for the right to walk, so others have the opportunity to walk is coming to the Surf City Marathon February 5, 2017.
I Got Legs founder and Survival of the Fittest Athlete, Adam Gorlitsky, is set to become the first paralyzed man ever to walk the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach, CA using a ReWalk robotic exoskeleton.
Gorlitsky is currently on his One-Million Steps Tour where he is walking 1,000,000 steps in road races throughout the country using his ReWalk Robotic Exoskeleton--the same one he will be using to walk in the marathon.
Walking across the finish line of the Surf City Marathon will officially put Gorlitsky over the 100k total road race step count, and with that milestone, he will be publicly announcing that his tour will take be taking on a new name: The I Got Legs! ReEnabled Race Tour where he will be walking 1,000,000 steps in road races throughout the country using all the currently available FDA approved robotic exoskeleton technologies and their approved manufacturers.
While on tour, he will be raising $1 for every step he takes that will go towards working with race directors around the country to establish the I Got Legs: ReEnabled Racing Circuit for ReEnabled Athletes and their friends and families.
Gorlitsky's ultimate mission is to partner with the race directors on the I Got Legs: ReEnabled Racing Circuit to bring better awareness to the local rehab centers, hospitals, VA's, and business' around the country about the benefits of the robotic exoskeleton technologies and what it means to be disabled vs able-bodied.
The I Got Legs! ReEnabled Race Tour. Fighting for the right to walk, so others, like Adam, have the opportunity to walk in road races all around country. Because it is only when we walk together that we will begin to bridge the gap between what it means to be disabled and able-bodied. I Got Legs! ReEnabled Athletes unite!
See everyone February 5, 2017 at the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach, CA!
